Functional description:
The contaminated cooling lubricant enters the preflooding chamber via the inlet pipework. Due to the geometry of the preflooding chamber and a corresponding distribution plate, the magnetic roller is evenly fed with cooling lubricant. The magnetic roller rotates against the incoming liquid flow, the ferritic dirt particles remain stuck to the magnetic roller. The magnetic roller transports the adhering dirt particles upwards, the scraper plate ensures that they are scraped off and the sludge is ejected into the dirt container. The arrangement of the scraper plate ensures a dry sludge discharge.
